Yeah, I was talking to the kids the other night about DNA data storage. It almost seems embarrassing that our best efforts haven’t come close to that of DNA. You only need to look at a fruit fly to realize our technology is still vastly outclassed by the ‘random’ progress of nature. We would pat ourselves on the back for being brilliant if we managed to create a fully autonomous self replicating robot the size of fruit fly.
